Bob Seely – Help for People in Crisis

In News by Bembridge PC

Extra money is available to help Islanders in crisis. Money can be accessed through Citizens Advice Isle of Wight to assist Island residents who are in genuine hardship, enabling them to quickly access help in an emergency.

The funds can be used to buy food, pay utility bills, top up prepayment cards and for the purchase of white goods such as microwaves to ensure food can be cooked.

The Citizens Advice team – in partnership with the Footprint Trust – can also arrange for heating appliances to be fixed or offer temporary replacement to keep families warm.

The Government has made this money available for those who genuinely need it and I want to make sure Islanders know that there is help out there, they just need to ask.

If you know of anyone who may need help please ask them to call 01983 823859 or email: helpthroughcrisis@iwcab.org.uk
