The Blue Lamp Trust’s Isle of Wight Bobby Scheme; helping protect vulnerable residents on Isle of Wight from becoming victims of crime

Hampshire Constabulary wanted to share an update with you from our partners, The Blue Lamp Trust, of which our Chief Constable Scott Chilton is a Trustee.

They have recently launched a dedicated service on the Isle of Wight, which seeks to help protect vulnerable residents on the Island from becoming victims of crime.

The scheme from the Blue Lamp Trust offers FREE home visits providing both general and specific crime and fire prevention advice to improve home safety.

As part of the scheme, they visit residents of the Isle of Wight who are:  ·  Vulnerable due to age (over 60) ·  Disabled ·  A victim of crime ·  A victim of burglary ·  A victim of domestic abuse Lois, their police vetted Safety Technician, will visit and carry out a full survey and fit items free of charge, such as:  ·  Locks ·  Spy Holes ·  Door Chains ·  Smoke Alarms ·  Carbon Monoxide Alarms In addition, they are able to supply and fit the below items for a fee:  Key Safes: C500 Key Safes, ACPO Police Accredited with a 5 year guarantee.
